Yoga "Babe"

  • Yoga poses for dogs, by "Babe"
Babe Elizabeth Bower - Greetings! I am a "rescue" dog, mainly because I rescued my pet human from despair. I am most likely a short-hair pointer/pit bull mix. I enjoy long walks in the "back 40" where I exercise the rabbits. When I am not sleeping, eating or cruising the neighborhood, I enjoy yoga - or "doga" as I like to call it. Enjoy the following photos of some of my favorite yoga poses.Child's Pose in Snow - A great "cooling" poseDownward Dog on the Bed - This is a good way to start the dayHappy Doggie - Similar to "Happy Baby" only even more enjoyable. This is one of my ultimate relaxation posesHip Opener - A great way to keep your hips supple, while also providing a nice scratch and stretch for the neckHugging the Donkey - A yin yoga pose for dogs and humans alike, which sometimes attracts the attention of others!Legs Up the Wall Pose - A great way to relax the lower back and take pressure of those aching paws!Savasana with Friends - Although Savasana is mostly an "inward" pose, it can be fun to do with friendsScorpion Pose - Although I have never seen a scorpion (and hope I never do!), this is a great shoulder openerSeated Twist - I can't recommend this pose enough. I do it at least twice a day - especially if I think I hear the UPS guy coming up the drivewayShoulder Opener - Great for those "marbles" you can get behind the shoulder bladesUpper Body Twist with Legs up the Wall - This pose has it allUpper Body Twist - It is important to completely relax in this pose. As you can see, I find this quite easyResting Plough Pose - This is a very relaxed and "yin" version of plough poseCloseup of Resting Plough Pose - Another pose that is great for your lower back!
